Johannes Kapeller is media archivist at the Österreichische Mediathek since 2003. He studied Cultural Anthropology and Communication science at the University of Vienna. His main work areas are Public Relations, Project Management, Visitor Care and Cooperations. Since 2016 he is deputy head of the Mediathek. His main research interest is in the cultural history of everyday sounds and soundscapes.
The Österreichische Mediathek is the Austrian archive for sound recordings and videos and responsible for the preservation of over 2 million recordings on Austrian cultural and contemporary history.
