Chinthaka Prageeth Meddegoda, PhD, is the Director of Research in the University of Visual and Performing Arts in addition to conducting lecturers on North Indian music, theory of music and research and methodology. He is interested in popular and traditional music of various Asian cultures, their preservation and the accessibility of sound and audiovisual materials, as well as in general issues of human society, philosophy and cultural studies.
