Graduated in conservation with a major in technical, scientific and horological objects from the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (2017), Rebecca Rochat worked for 3 years on the RTS lacquer discs digitisation project, with a keen interest in studying the typology of international manufacturers, the historical background and chemical composition of the lacquer discs. She had the opportunity to do historical research at the BBC Written Archives Centre and the Science Museum in London. Previously, she completed an internship at the Swiss Film Archive and the Ra&D in conservation-restoration at the Haute Ecole Arc (HECR) where she evaluated the relevance of recent imaging techniques to identify and characterise lacquered copper alloys. Since September 2018, she started a MSc in Digital Heritage at the University of York where her research focused on 3D modelling, digital preservation and interpretation.
