I am a PhD fellow in Conservation and Restoration at the Associated Laboratory Requimte and DCR - Department of Conservation & Restoration (FCT/Universidade NOVA de Lisboa), and INET-MD/Instituto de Etnomusicologia - Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança (FCSH/Universidade NOVA de Lisboa). The working title of the current research is "Immaterial in the Material: a study on 78rpm audio carriers in Portuguese collections" (funded by FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, ref. SFRH/BD/80411/2011). I was a full-time member of the research project "The Phonographic Industry in 20th Century Portugal" (FCT ref: PTDC/HAH/70991/2006), and more recently worked in the research project "Timbila, Makwayela and Marrabenta: one century of musical representation of Mozambique", both at INET-md. I have previously worked in the Technical Department, the Audiovisual Archive and as a Delegate Producer of Fiction at RTP- Radiotelevisão Portuguesa, 1992-2003.
